Bree's family tension reaches a high in this scene. Amazing performances from Felicity Huffman as the transexual daughter and Fionnula Flannagan as the wicked mother make this a standout. Fully recommend this film, a personal favourite.

Grace Jones looking amazing, singing Pull Up to The Bumper and Nightclubbing for Stella McCartney for the Prince's Trust Fashion Rocks 2003, wearing 2 incredible Philip Treacy designs
Great Grace.

The sad part was, as time went on they started writing Lisa as less an "independent thinker" and more a self-righteous contrarian desperate for a cause frequently stirring up trouble, something that would go on the practically define the last few generations ironocally to the point they're not contrarians anymore, they're mainstream but act like they arn't.
Shes having a conversation with Martin Donavan
Awsome beautiful song! Does anybody know the Name of this song?
Miss Hoover's first name is Elizabeth. In case you are in any way interested......
And thats whatll happen if LGBT is allowed to keep influencing the media
Lgbt rights really are a slippery slope towards being forced to dissect worms
Ironic considering Lisa is bisexual and was always bisexual.
Literally 1984
Miss Hoover stares at Lisa while going for the button like a bank teller being robbed. Also I like the idea that Willie is just chilling out in Skinner's office.
Smoking in a school?
To me, the craziest part is that Lisa thought that Lunchlady Doris EVER had any passion for her job
Rich in Bunley goodness
I remember when I saw this episode as a kid, I was so confused why Lisa didn't even want to slice the worm in half, since I didn't think there'd be reasons to dislike meat aside from just finding it gross. For me as a kid, it would be like Riley refusing to cut a blade of grass.
Who's Riley?
@@litigioussociety4249 From _Inside Out_ - she dislikes broccoli.
But you didn't think she'd find slicing a worm in half gross?
@@sweetgirl070707 Not in the same way. Like… if a kid dislikes broccoli, does that necessarily prevent them from pulling out tree roots?
This is basically what the humanity and our society has become, but in a way bigger scale. Basically, if you don't go with the flow... The whole world is going to press that button.
Now the students press the button. Then the school is investigated, the entire curriculum revised and the teachers have to go with the flow.
Heavily depends on where you live. And in many regards, things have improved. Doesn't mean it's not still a huge issue for a whole lot of people in many places though.

Republican states when a student asks what's wrong about being attracted to the same sex
Or Democratic states when you say that there’s only two genders.
More like Liberals when sane people ask why they're holding drag shows in elementary schools.
Twitter when you say that women shouldn’t have to share bathrooms with potential rapists.
Liberal states when a student asks how a man becomes a woman.
@@spelcheak technically both will give what they believe to be a correct answer, just in one case it’s actually an incorrect answer.
This is basically what modern society does. On the surface, you’re encouraged to think creatively but the moment you deviate from how the people directly around you operate you’re labeled an outcast and banished. No wonder group think has taken over modern day politics.
It's not really modern society, so much as it is just society. It's just how things work unfortunately.
Huh. Yeah I feel you. I just basically commented the same thing before I found this comment. Although I don't mind being an outcast. That's where all the good and important stuff are. 🙂
“Do you remember when you lost your passion for your work?”
Think creatively but not creatively to disagree with me.

I hate Lisa
0:08 I'm surprised Lisa doesn't know the difference between a dissection and a vivisection.
Let's dissect that argument..
@@SightForMemories Correct, since it's been dead for nearly 30 years.
The worn was not moving, probably dead.
Dissection is used colloquially to refer to any opening or slicing apart of something. Pedantry doesn't apply to casual speech.
@@litigioussociety4249 Perhaps Im not making myself clear. I think you should reconsider.
While I'm a Christian and know what God says about homosexuality, NEVER would I picket a funeral for ANY reason. And if Christians do this they are not Christians. Even if Christians do not agree with the gay agenda, it doesn't give them any right to do what that so called joke of a "Christian" group did in that scene, and like the Westboro Baptist Church had done. I pray for them, I don't hate them or judge them. That's God's job to judge, not mine.
I still dont get how he died, bashing or did they break his neck?
@nicholascuccaro1263 he got beat to deadh because hes gay
This depresses me so much.

She should have won the oscar
Damn right she should’ve- only now we realise AMPAS made the wrong decision giving Felicity’s Oscar to Reese
OMG i know, Felicity deserved it
Her mother is a narcissist
Yes. A big part of why Bree was so insecure, because of how she was raised to feel.
Also just a terf
Good movie.
Bree's mom is the Narcissism in itself.
Grace Darling!
A group of people ought to be free to go after those homophobes, publicly condemn their asses, and beat them up if need be.
